Earthworks Industries Inc., through its 100% owned subsidiary Cortina Integrated Waste Management Inc. (CIWM) has successfully negotiated a lease with the Cortina Band of Wintun Indians to design, construct and operate an integrated waste handling facility on 443 acres of the Cortina Rancheria in Colusa County, California. The Class III landfill located approximately 85 miles north-east of San Francisco, California will have an approximate disposal capacity of 16 million cubic yards of waste. The initial lease is 25 years, and renewable in 25 years.

The Maricunga Gold Belt hosts world-renown deposits such as Marte-Lobo, Refugio, La Coipa, Cerro Cassale, El Hueso / ADLF / Jeronimo, La Pepa, and Volcan with combined gold resources in the order of 43 million ounces. Atocha Resources, a mineral exploration and development company based in Canada, with shares traded on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol ATT.Its flagship project is the Atkinson (Detour Lake) Project consisting of 29 claim blocks spanning over 4,000 hectares. The largest claim block being the Lipton claims, where in 1996 numerous geophysical targets were tested which resulted in the discovery of significant gold mineralization of 10.7 grams per tone AU over a core length of 9.0 metres. Furtherdrilling has resulted in additional positive results. Atocha is planning a work program which will consist of further drilling in winter 2009/2010.
